I created these beautiful blue butterfly teardrop earrings for The CW Network stylists working on the show "Hart of Dixie" They were worn by actress Nakia Burrise as Patty Pritchett on the episode ("Kablang") that aired December 15, 2014, episode 401.
These stunning earrings are made with the broken wings of a Blue Morpho Zephyritis Butterfly. The wings are so brilliant in color and iridescent that they look lit from within. It is made with Wings layered between under domed glass that will keep it protected, however, it is not waterproof. Non leaded jewelry grade silver alloy solder is used on the frame of the butterfly. At the top of the earrings, the wing is round, at the bottom the wing is tear dropped shape. They are slightly heavier than average earrings, but safe to wear and come with a backing for added security
They measure approximately 2" in length
